From the beginning, Caesars Windsor has taken a leadership role on the topic of responsible gambling. While problem gambling affects a small percentage of the population, for those people, and their families, it is a serious problem. Important factors in dealing with responsible gambling is increased awareness and information providing for people regarding resources available to them. Caesars Windsor has implemented a program of responsible gambling awareness which focuses on the customer, community and employee awareness. As operator of the first temporary commercial casino in Ontario, the first riverboat casino in Canada, and the first permanent commercial casino in Ontario, Caesars Windsor is committed to taking a leadership role in addressing the issue of responsible gambling for everyone entering our casino.

In July 2012, Caesars Windsor became the first gaming company to achieve Responsible Gaming Accreditation, which means our program was measured against eight core responsible gambling standards including corporate policies, self-exclusion, advertising and promotion, informed decision making, assisting patrons who may have problems with gambling, access to money, venue growth and game features and employee training.
This international accreditation supports our commitment to responsible gaming.

Every casino, slot facility and racetrack in Ontario complies with OLG's Policy on Responsible Gaming, including participation in the Self-Exclusion Program, in which individuals request to have themselves placed on a list of self-excluded persons and refrain from visiting the casino. The self-exclusion applies to all Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and, in Caesars Windsor's case, Caesars Entertainment Corporation gaming facilities, including commercial casinos, slot facilities at racetracks and charity casinos.
