Caesars Windsor celebrates First Anniversary with Industry Awards and Special EventsWindsor, Ont. – Caesars Windsor’s first year anniversary on June 19 will not only mark twelve months of bringing 68 headline entertainers to the city and 4.5 million guests, it will also celebrate the achievement of earning several industry awards.
Caesars Windsor has been named “Best Overall Hotel and Casino” in the Detroit/Windsor region by Casino Player Magazine’s Best of Gaming Reader’s Choice Awards. Read by over 125,000 gaming enthusiasts, the magazine has also awarded Caesars Windsor with the top spot in ten other categories including: Best Service, Best Dealers, and Best Hotel. This comes on the heels of the resort casino’s most recent accolades, the CAA/AAA four diamond hotel award, representing Caesars Windsor’s tenth consecutive win.
Caesars Windsor became the largest casino resort in Canada when it opened its $439 million expansion property on June 19, 2008 and was rebranded with the world-renowned Caesars name. Billy Joel was the first artist to perform in the Colosseum on opening night and since that time, headline entertainers such as Jay Leno and Celine Dion have both made appearances at the Colosseum. Over twelve months, there have been nearly 400,000 audience members in this state-of-the-art entertainment venue.
