Local work showcased in Artist Café Windsor, Ont. – Caesars Windsor has teamed up with the Arts Council of Windsor and Region (ACWR) to exhibit the work of local artists in the Artist Café, the resort's 24-hour restaurant visited by 1,800 guests daily.
Beginning November 2, the featured artwork will be displayed at the entrance to the restaurant on the gallery wall across from the welcoming bar. Each piece will have an artist bio and will be available for sale through the ACWR. A different artist will be featured every two months:
- November & December, Doug Bedard
- January & February, Kathy Stanzak
- March & April, Shirley Williams
- May & June, Carol Ann Winters
"This partnership is a creative solution for local artists to receive exposure to a new audience of thousands of guests who visit the Artist Café," said Holly Ward, Director of Communications and Community Affairs. "In turn, it's an opportunity for Caesars Windsor to add value to our guests' dining experience by displaying beautiful new pieces that will showcase the talent of our local arts community."
The Artist Café opened on December 14, 2006 as part of the property's $439 million renovation and expansion project. Designed to emulate the eclectic atmosphere of an artist's studio, the café offers a mix of traditional favourites and imaginative entrees in an upbeat setting of bright paintings, airy sculptures and bold Warhol-inspired murals. The spacious restaurant accommodates up to 255 guests. For menu offerings, visit: www.caesarswindsor.com.
