Caché receives Four Diamond Award Windsor, Ontario, 8/17/2006 Windsor, Ont. – Casino Windsor’s Caché restaurant has been awarded the Canadian/American Automobile Association’s prestigious Four Diamond Award, which is a first for this fine dining outlet and makes it the only restaurant in the Windsor-Essex county area to achieve this status. Every year, American/Canadian Automobile Association representatives evaluate thousands of restaurants around the world and rate them according to a high set of ‘diamond’ standards. During an unannounced visit, restaurants are evaluated on customer service, the knowledge of the staff, the level of creativity and complexity of the menu, fresh ingredients and overall ambiance. Of 25,000 restaurants that are considered, only three percent successfully met the CAA/AAA’s high standards. With this award, Caché joins the ranks of world-renowned Four Diamond properties such as the famed restaurant Opus in Toronto, Four Seasons in New York, and Spago in Beverly Hills. Caché opened in Casino Windsor’s Canadian Club® Salon in December 1999 as a fine dining restaurant exclusively for the facility’s valued players, with seating for 115. Then in January of 2005, this hidden culinary gem opened to the public and began taking reservations on a limited basis. From the luxurious surroundings of the intimate atmosphere, the personalized attention to detail from each server, to the savory Euro-Asian menu created with exotic spices and fresh ingredients, Caché is truly a treat for the senses. Reservations for Caché can be made on a limited basis by calling VIP Services at 1-800-991-8888 or by visiting the Casino Host at the Canadian Club® Salon entrance. Caché is open Wednesday through Sunday at 5 p.m. Diamonds are Casino Windsor’s best friend: Hotel achieves seventh Four Diamond Award - the only in the city A company-wide commitment to quality and service has once again garnered diamond-status for Casino Windsor’s hotel for the seventh consecutive year. The only lodging in the Windsor-Essex area to achieve the Four Diamond award, the hotel offers world-class amenities and superb service creating a memorable overnight stay. According to CAA/AAA, a Four Diamond property is “progressively refined and stylish” featuring “an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail.” Diamonds can be a restaurant’s or hotel’s best friend, a symbol letting guests know what level of standards to expect. Later this year, a plaque will be presented to Casino Windsor by the CAA/AAA and the results published in the associations’ 2007 Ontario Tourbook®, a trusted resource helping travelers with their dining and lodging choices.
