CAESARS OPENS IN CANADA The Colosseum, Convention Centre, and Augustus Hotel Tower now open
Casino Windsor has transformed into a luxurious resort destination with a $430 million construction project which opened on June 19, 2008. The facility has been renamed Caesars Windsor, a world-class brand known for its attentive service and luxury, the first of its kind in Canada. The new 369-room “Augustus” hotel tower compliments the 389-room four-diamond “Forum” hotel with spectacular views of the Detroit riverfront. A multi-functional 5,000 seat entertainment centre called the “Colosseum” will features world-class performers and 100,000 square feet of convention space has set a new standard for resort destinations in the area. Entertainment Centre The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor is the largest venue of its kind among the nearly 40 Harrah’s Entertainment properties. The 5,000 seats retract, transforming the venue into an exhibition hall with 39,500 square feet of column-free space. Meeting Space The 26,000 square foot Augustus ballroom features subtle silver and gold tones creating a level of sophistication desired for a high-end function area. The new ballroom is the largest of its size in the area and can be separated into four sections with soundproof dividers. Seven conference rooms are also available for smaller meetings. State-of-the-art multimedia equipment is available and a full-service business centre will handle any task while guests are out-of-the office. New “Augustus” Hotel Tower The new Augustus tower features 369 rooms on 22 floors, all with riverfront views. Building on the four-diamond tradition for superior service and amenities in the current hotel, all 758 rooms meet the luxurious Caesars brand standards. Renovations to the current facility Caesars Windsor offers a variety of entertainment and dining options for guests to explore. Renovations inside the resort have opened up four new restaurants and two bars, an impressive six-story Rotunda and an elegant gaming floor. New Gaming floors The world-class Caesars theme is carried throughout the 100,000 square foot gaming floor on two levels with vibrant colors and rich finishes that create a refined atmosphere.
